While visiting my brother in St. Louis today, I learned of a developing story of beautiful irony. It turns out that Shell (one of the largest oil companies on the planet) has created a new online advertising contest, asking internet users to create their own ads. Each one is published on their website’s gallery and the winners get their ads on billboards around the country…as well as a free trip to see Shell’s oil rigs in the arctic. But, as you can see, the site was flooded by people using humor to stick-it-to-the-man. Bravo to all involved.
